One day I was thinking about expressing my creativity, and candle’s came to mind! Now it’s become a hobby and later a business. Nonetheless, this idea has memories from childhood. My Aunt Jamie, would always have a candle lit after a deep cleaning session at home and in the depths of my memory the candles brought me warmth, comfort and also a sense of safety. We all have our different stories, and I want to invite you into mine! The little things in my life paint a picture of Jesus and how He brought me out of darkness into his glorious Light. Coming from a single parent household, mixed with neglect, rapid growth and a lossed touch of reality, there was a lot of room for dark days to consume my life. I had a loss in my life that made me question the direction of life I was going in the summer of 2016. As I was heading home from Iowa, I came to a realization that Jesus was pursuing my life. The loss that brought me into this line of questioning was, “is there more for my life than this current circumstance?” After that moment of realization, I sensed a desire to pursue Jesus and made a decision to follow him. After church hopping and figuring out what it means to accept the power of the Gospel into my life, I found the place that lead me to the truth. I heard the good news of Jesus, and accepted his invitation of believing in His perfect work on the cross for my sins. Through prayer, I was lead to repent and accept him into my heart.

My hope today, is that Living Light will show you the light of Jesus. Whether it’s through our candles, Instagram, or my personal life, we desire for you to see His love. Let the story of Living Light be a reminder, that God’s compassion, care and comfort for the whole world is living in the person of Jesus.
